About this guide
How the To Scale ruler works
Every figure in the To Scale drawings comes from the casino's own page as it reads now, with a date. Where no current figure exists, the drawing shows no number.
One ruler, four units
The drawings use four units, chosen by the site. One block stands for 100 machines. One tile stands for 1 live table game, and one tower floor stands for 20 hotel rooms. A block of seats stands for 100 people of stage capacity. Where a figure does not divide evenly, a part block is drawn for the remainder.
All five casinos are drawn with the same units, so a block at Pickering is the same size as a block in Etobicoke or Milton. Size can be read by eye before a visit, with no conversion. A casino with no hotel has no tower, and a casino with no stage has no seats. The units never change from page to page.
Which figure the ruler takes
The rule is short. The ruler takes the figure the casino's own page shows now, either its counter or its text, and dates it. Where no current figure exists, no number is printed. Where two current figures on official pages differ, this page names both.
Sources are the casinos' own pages on greatcanadian.com, Great Canadian Entertainment news releases, OLG, the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, ConnexOntario and PlaySmart.
Facts on the site were checked on October 7, 8 and 9, 2026, and each page shows the date of its check. Anika Sethi, the author, takes every count, room number and capacity from the casinos' own pages and the operator's releases, then dates each one. Holiday hours appear nowhere on the site; they should be checked on each casino's own site.
Where official figures differ
- Toronto machines: the counter at Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto shows 4,500+ slot machines and e-tables, and the ruler draws that. Operator releases of June 2023 and May 2024 gave 4,800 slot machines.
- Table games in Toronto: the current counter shows 164 table games, and that is the figure drawn. Operator releases gave 145 live table games in June 2023 and 175 in May 2024.
- Mohawk tables: the counter on the Elements page shows 42 table games, and the ruler takes the counter. The operator's directory says 34 live table games.
- Great Blue Heron machines: the counter shows 566+ slot machines, and the ruler draws that. The same page's text says over 500, the operator directory says 500 and a January 2024 release said over 600.
- The Theatre in Toronto: the casino page calls it a 5,000 person theatre, and that is the figure drawn. Its meetings section gives 4000+ for live theatre or concerts and 1500+ for galas, while The Theatre's own page gives no capacity.
- Poker tables: operator releases gave 30 tables at Toronto in May 2024 and 18 at Pickering in January 2024.
